Vic Chao graduated from Stanford University in Mechanical Engineering and developed medical devices, but quit because engineering sucks. Since Vic became an actor, his co-workers have suddenly become much better looking and significantly poorer.
He acted for 2 years in Chicago, highlighted by a stint as Da Bull, the mascot for the Chicago Bulls (whereupon his co-workers suddenly became much taller and ridiculously richer). Vic is a gymnast, an avid (yet curiously bad) player of Dance Dance Revolution, and a crossword enthusiast. He has also been a cheerleader, a contender on the original American Gladiators Live Tour, and a slam-dunking entertainer for the LA Clippers.
Vic counts among his acting highlights: recurring for two seasons of 24, working with Sandra Bullock on Miss Congeniality 2, working with Tony Shalhoub on Monk, and working with Kelsey Grammer on Frasier. His richest theatre experience has been starring in David Henry Hwang’s Tony-nominated Golden Child with Silk Road Theatre Project in Chicago. He also is particularly proud of his vivid portrayal of the title character in Waiting For Godot (Vic finds that to be a funny joke even if nobody else does).
